Designed Circuit
Description of Circuit
LRS-50-24 Power Supply converting AC wall power to 24VDC 2a
LM317 voltage regulator to create 12V line for 555 timer
555 timer running in astable mode to turn on and off signal to the LED strip
N-Channel MOSFET to send signal to the LED strip
24V COB LED Strip that runs at 24V 1a
Important Notes
Between the power supply and 24v line, my setup has a 2a fuse and a power switch, unnecessary but nice
My setup for LM317 ends up converting to 13V because I only had those resistors on hand, the attached image below has a correct equation, ideally you should use something like 220 for R1 and 1.9k for R2
The potentiometer does not have to be 10k, I believe a 50k will not change the function of the circuit
The 0.01uF capacitor decides the clock of the circuit along with its resistors, I ended up with a 6.6khz frequency as the sound produced was the least irritating with what I had on hand, however you could increase the frequency beyond 20k to not be hearable at all
